Denver’s leading scorer to return for senior season
Matt Krohn-USA TODAY Sports

The Denver Pioneers will be getting a big piece back from their National Championship-winning squad. According to Grand Forks Herald’s Brad Schlossman, forward Jack Devine will return for his senior season.

Devine, 20, led all Pioneers skaters with 27 goals and 56 points in 44 games during the 2023-24 season. Nationally, he finished fourth in goals, tied for 11th in assists (29), and fifth in points.

Drafted by the Florida Panthers in the seventh round, 221st overall, in the 2022 NHL Draft, Devine was named a Hobey Baker Award Top-10 Finalist this past season.

The Glencoe, Illinois, native got off to a great start, recording six goals and 13 points in the first six games and 15 goals and 28 points in 18 games overall in the first half of the 2023-24 season.

With senior forward McKade Webster moving on, Devine could take over Webster’s captaincy for the Pioneers in the 2024-25 season.
